"No problems with this car except as a daily driver, it is not cheap at the pump. Overall it is a great car and for me, a good value as a used vehicle...doubt I would by one brand new, too much initial depreciation."

"After owning a Cadillac Seville for 3 years I was a little hestistant at first about purchasing the Cadillac SUV but after one test drive in the Escalade I was sold. It is quite the head turner everywhere I go. Love the chrome grille. Great exterior and interior features. My kids love the DVD player and 6 disc cd changer and they are a lifesaver on long family road trips. My only gripe would be the mpg. It is very, very, very, thirsty at the gas pump but that is to be expected with a SUV. The bottom line is Cadillac knocked it out of the park with the Escalade!!!"

"Pros: This vehicle has an exceptional look to it, both inside and outside. Very refined and rich. Excellent attention to detail in the interior and exterior trim - lights, grille, seats, etc.
Excellent power for a large vehicle. Very smooth ride. Rear view camera, motorized rear door, "Intelli-beam" etc. features are very useful and reliable.
Con 1: The navigation system+audio interface is useless. It works perfectly for what it is, but the user interface is very unfriendly and counter-intuitive with limited features as compared to the rest of the vehicle.
Con 2: The only quality problem I have had is that of too many little sqeaks and noises here and there that are annoying, and speak of poor workmanship. Not expected in an expensive luxury car like this one."

"My brother has a Lexus, my neighbor has a Mercedes SUV, and I previously had a Range Rover, This beats them all hands down, I have 76,550 trouble free miles, only thing is normal tire wear, rides like a car, Power from 400+ horse power is awesome, best interior of any suv on the plnet, this is why stars and Athletes buy these, heads turn my brother is trading his Lexus in for a new Escalade and next year I will buy another Escalade, NAV , DVD heated / air cond. seats cant beat this vehicle"

"I have owned both the Infinity QX and the Escalade which is what I currently drive. The Infinity just didn't feel like a luxury vehicle when I drove it. it has all the bells and whistles but just doesn't make the grade with the feel of the ride.
On the other hand, the Escalade does all that and more. It too has all the bells and whistles, but it also is extremely quiet, rides like a large car rather than SUV and it just feels good to the driver. It is much more responsive than my QX was.
Then there's the wow factor. How many movie stars, professional athletes and musicians own an Infinity? They all have an Escalade and the reason is because that's what people buy when they want to make a statement.
Forget the Infinity......buy the Escalade and watch the heads turn."

"Well I dont want to turn this into a bashing session, yet Im still concerend about GM's serious outlook in the luxury dept. How is that I can purchase a nissan maxima and have keyless start and entry systems and yet with Caddilacs TOP OF THE LINE luxury vehicles,. it still utilizes the key tumbler ignition and entry.
by the way, I've owned this vehicle 5 months and its already been stolen once and broken into.
Not to mention that it has been to the dealer for a random draim in the battery that has yet to be repaired because it happens once every 2-3 weeks. The dealer claims they cannot reproduce the concern.
I should have listened to my father when he bought his infinity, which has yet to see the dealership and is 3 years old.."

"I bought my 07 Escalade new in July and shipped it to Europe. I've put 5000 miles on it and have been loving every minute. Over here its a BIG SUV - with a height of 1.85 meters I have to be careful in most indoor garages which are not much taller than 1.9 meters. It also barely fits in most parking spaces. But no matter - EVERYONE and I mean EVERYONE reacts to it over here. Most love it and some are shocked by it. But that's half the fun. My SUV color is silver with the ebony interior. I've noticed this is a rare combination in the US where the overwhelmingly favorite color is black with either the ebony or cashmere interior. I would never order the cashmere interior because it dirties way to quickly and also fades. Black hides dirt much more effectively over the life of the vehicle. But mine appears to be a minority opinion.
Driving conditions in Europe are much more aggressive than in the USA and it handles it all with much aplomb. My mileage is horrible though. I barely break through the 10 mpg barrier, resting for the most part around 9 mpg. With gasoline at $7/gallon it costs me close to $200 to fill the tank.
My worse than average gas mileage probably comes from the aggressive way I drive. I drive it at the limit, which in this case is a weird 107 mph, when the speed limiter kicks in. Why GM decided to limit the top speed to 107 mph is a mystery. The SUV feels very stable at over 100 mph and should be capable of safe handling north of 120 mph, which is standard cruising speeds in most of Europe.
Complaints: I find it very irritating that the rear windows don't roll down all the way. This is a common feature on many GM cars and I find that it cheapens the image of the brands. No one likes it and yet they continue to do it. I would have enjoyed a power telescoping steering wheel and six way power seats in the rear. I also would have enjoyed the option of a 22" non-chromed set of wheels. All this chrome is becoming banal. Like most GM cars the tires are too skinny - I replaced the standard 265s with 305s on the 22" wheels.
Conclusion: I'm enjoying it and look forward to taking it skiing in the Alps this winter. It makes for a very refreshing site among all the boring rows of Porsche Cayennes and Range Rovers."
