"The six speed 4x4 tranny with the 3.42 rear end is the best combination in the market. The 5.3 is one of the most reliable engine manufactured. The crew cab is roomy and comfortable and the interior understated. Nothing flashy nor blingy just classy. No buyers remorse with this vehicle."

"20020 miles tune up oil changes tires brakes 1 alternator sold and person is still driving it no rust a/c still working on 1 can freon at 10060 miles v6 used 1 quart of oil 1040 every 4000 miles two drive hated get rid of it hope i get the new chevy 1500 crew cab same.

"this truck is very nice. It drives well, handles extremely well and seems to have good power. I am a bit disappointed in the fuel economy; so far mixed rural highway MPG is about 15."

"I like the pickup but the seats are hard and uncomfortable. I sat in several from 2007-2009 and they were all at least ok.
Seems they changed the seats and now they aren't comfortable.

The gas pedal is too straight up, so I move the seat back, then the steering wheel is too far, basically I have adjusted the seat for 4 months and it just does not fit.
Too bad, rest of it is ok.
Oh, mileage on window sticker was 19 hwy, I get 17."

"I bought the 2013 ltz. Comes with a great stereo package. Onstar is a plus. The auto-shifting rear view mirrors lets you look at the curb near your rear tire. A stellar innovation. Should have opted for the rear view camera with radar but it wasnt on the one i bought. The suspension is good for a truck with 18s. For the price, its a good upgrade to a regular old chevy 1500 silverado. I give Chevy a 5 on the LTZ"

"I like the pickup but it seems they changed the padding in the seats.
Drivers seat is too firm, and the panels are fairly flat, not very comfortable.
I have sat in 08 and they are good, so it seems they messed with them and messed them up."

"Purchased this slightly used current year Silverado regular cab LT truck from local dealer. The 20 inch tires definitely add style and the LT version a nice upgrade from the standard WT. If gas is not an issue, this is an excellent value for 25k. I only wish Chevy had made the surround front bumber real chrome steel instead of chrome colored plastic. Disc brakes instead of drum brakes in the rear would have been better as well. Over all 4 stars."

"This is the fourth Chevrolet pickup that I have owned since 1985. Repairs to those four pickups include one electric window motor, one air conditioner switch, two nodes (mice ate them up) and hail damage on my newest truck. With several hundred thousand miles on all four trucks, and only four problems (the last does not count against Chevrolet) I have had great luck with them. The 3rd truck I kept for 12 years, hoping that the mileage for a new truck would be significantly higher on a new truck. The salesman told me that I would probably get between 17 and 24 mpg. Unfortunately, the 5.3 liter engine got 12.2 for the first tank of gas. It improved to just over 14 for the next tank. In a 600+ miles roundtrip to East Texas, it averaged 19.1. So, I guess I'll just have to live with a mpg the same as my old truck."

"The LT trim is very sporty.Holds the road. Very smooth ride. Turn radius could be better. Bridgestone tires are very good. Much better than Goodyear AT or ST. 18" wheels ,Z71 shocks give this truck a very nice ride."

"I believe in the idea of things being built here, but this truck just doesnt have the quality I was looking for. The seats are very uncomfortable. The gas mileage is not the best. Next time I look for a truck I WILL NOT be looking at GMs at all. The Ford F-150 sounds good to me."

"My only dissappointment with my new Silverado is that both GM and OnStar have assured me that they have no intention of ever making the RemoteLink app for smartphones work with the GM dealer installed remote start. Their intentions are to make it available only on the vehicles programmed for remote start at the factory. That way GM gets paid about $400 more per vehicle because in the case of the Silverado, factory remote start only comes in a more expensive option package. You have no way to find this out until after you take delivery of the vehicle and download the app. Then you find out that you don't have an icon for the remote start, only lock, unlock, and sound the horn/flash lights features. While the lock/unlock features might come in handy some day, I really wanted the remote start feature and could care less about the other stuff at this point. I really think that GM should be forced to put a disclaimer on the dealer installed remote start accessory stating that it won't work with RemoteLink. The only difference in the factory remote start and the dealer installed remote start are the programming codes yet GM refuses to update the codes to make RemoteLink work with their own equipment. You don't have to look very far to understand why, just multiply the $400 difference in purchase price times the thousands of vehicles sold and it all equals corporate greed."
