"This Sentra has come a very long way and looks like the great reliable Altima and luxurious Maxima all together. Nissan must have worked hard all day & night making this 2013 Sentra because you saw one on the highway wouldn't believe it was a Sentra with everything that's worth a Lexus this car has top of the line features and best body styling ever with all safety features believe the Sentra is a Consumers Digest Best Buy for 2013 looks better Mazda 3, Dodge Dart, Toyota Corolla, Ford Focus, Hyundai Elantra and Chevrolet Cruze i give the Sentra thumbs up for styling and quality greatest compact car ever."

"I tried the new Civic, Elentra, Dart, Mazda 3,Corolla, Focus. Basically every car on the compact market. When I test drove the Sentra, I liked it the most. I have now owned the car for 4 months and I still love it from day one. I will admit there is a major lack of power. You are not getting up to speed very quickly. The CVT is/can be very loud (but if you have the radio on, it tends to make the CVT quieter.) When you have to slow down then step on the gas, the CVT gets even louder, and whines. The styling inside and out are great, but the hubcaps on the car are awful. The handling is good, but you have to take sharp turns I would recommend going slow, as it likes to swing wide when you are going fast. The suspension is stiff, but I find that it comes in handy over bumps.
There are a lot about this car that I love and there are things that could be changed. My car came with the leather wrapped steering wheel, but it can get hard on the hands. ( I would recommend buying a steering wheel cover.)The interior of the car is easy to clean and it keeps clean . (this is with the black interior. Not sure about the beige.) I live in a big city and can hardly hear the noise outside. The gas mileage lives up to the sticker on the car sometimes even better. (if you do not use the sport mode often. I tend to use it a lot and I am getting 31.7 in the city.) The cup holders on the sides of the doors are great and come in handy. The two cup holders in the front are good for large cups, but if you have anything small- soda can, water bottle, etc- they rattle a lot and move around. (it can get annoying.) When you go to clean the windshield, you cannot fully put up the wiper on the passenger side. ( There is part of the hood that overlaps it, making it to where you cannot fully put it up. I can only imagine that when I have to change it will be annoying) The review mirror does not go up to high, to I find myself slouching to look in my mirror. Overall it is a great car ( I traded in my Honda Civic) I find that Nissan is the underdog in a very competitive compact segment. It is a commuter car and that is exactly what it is does. I have the SV model with the navigation and driver's package."

"So I recently added another Nissan product to the fleet as my Infiniti isn't the most fuel efficient for my commuting. I wasn't sure how this little car would stack up as I have expectations for cars coming from an Infiniti sedan.
The Nissan is pretty comparable to be honest. The performance isn't what I'm used to, however it's pretty darn good for a little 4 cylinder car. I like cvt and the fact that I can be doing 1500 rpms at 70 mph. While in my Infiniti that would 2200 rpms. The cvt has taken some getting used to. The interior is nice, I have the SV trim and that came with cruise, a/c, xm radio and steering wheel controls. It also has the LED parking lights. Driving some of the older Sentra's I think Nissan really did their homework on this one. I've averaged 34.8 mpg with city and highway at 50%/50%
Honestly I have to say I'm impressed with so much comfort and convenience in such a small package. My favorite part about this car is the turning radius, it's so agile.
Make no mistake, this car is better than the Corolla and the Civic. It has the sporty feel and modern amenities that every car should have."

"I have purchased a 2013 Sentra SR and I totally love it. The exterior deisgn and the sharpness is great. I was going to purschase the SV but for 10$ extra a month I have decided to get the SR, and I do not regret it. Fog lights, nicer body kit, and also the nice alloy wheels. I really like that they put the LED tailights and LED's under the front headlight. The interior is very comfotable and not much noise. The only thing that I dont like is the CVT transmission, probably need to get used to it, getting out of a V8. The fuel economy is great, I am averaging 30.8 mpg all city after 3,000 miles. I have not taken it on a long highway run, but this summer I will take it on a 2,000 highway trip. Other than that, I dont think I could have found a better deal, getting the car for $19,000 out the door. I really like how Nissan is stepping up the game with the interior room and complete redisgn to most of their models."

"Just purchased a 2013 Sentra SL for my wife. We have owned the last two generations of Sentra's and this is buy far the most well thought out car yet. Comfort, style, features, and efficiency all put this car ahead of most competitors today.
I think Nissan played this redesign very, very well. Can it really get up to 40mpg hwy consistently? It really does depend on your driving habits so mpg numbers from companies sometimes is over-hyped. With that said, fuel economy, ride comfort, interior room, and exterior styling are this Nissan's trump card.
Ive read reviews that have talked about the lack of horsepower. Dually noted, it will not win you many races. But what I think you are seeing is a departure from car companies catering to the "Fast and Furious" generation. This car reaches a growing demographic of budget conscious buyers that want style, proven reliability, good tech features, and low fuel expenses.
As for the car itself, it has enough power to get you up to 80mph without flooring it. The CVT transmission does feel different than the last generation (which I miss actually), but this car comes with the Eco/Sport buttons which all make the CVT behave differently. I've found the ECO mode to behave most like the old tranny. It is a bit too jumpy in Sport mode, even if you are trying to beat someone off the jump when the light turns green.
I've also heard people talk about the "moaning" of the CVT at low rpms. Maybe somewhat, but nothing to take your eyes off the road or think something is wrong with the car.
The CVT transmission is very unique in that it reacts to various inputs and situations (throttle, road conditions, temperature). Once you learn how to work the CVT in different situations, you will learn to appreciate it's versatility and wide range of ratios.
Interior is very well laid out and has some great soft touches. Our SL even has the (faux) woodgrain which is a nice touch.
The steering is nice but is a bit light. Car wasn't designed to be whipped around on the back roads but it does handle corners fairly well. Oversteer is very noticeable.
If you want something to whip around on back roads and take out to speed around on weekends, look elsewhere...this car is not for you (until the SE-R comes out)
This car is a tremendous value. There may be other cars out there with better driving dynamics, but this new Sentra is a smart buy for anyone looking to get around comfortably and in style. More than enough car for my wife.
If you're gonna buy one, get the SV or SL, may only cost you an extra $10-20/month...it will be worth the features. Best wishes."

"Got My 2013 Sentra a few days ago and really like the vehicle style , price , nissan quality and mileage. I have read the reviews and all I can say is I still like the car, and feel its a great value for the money. It is not a race car but if it were it would not get the great mileage either. The ride is very comfortable and not jolting or noisy . I have driven it on the freeway at 75 mph and have not had any problem getting up to speed or any excess noise. I am a bit older and enjoy driving more leisurely and find this car to perform admirably for my needs . I have the SV model without the upgraded stereo and find the radio to be fine for my taste. . I traded in a Kia Optima and to tell you the truth find the Sentra as comfortable and better gas mileage to boot . Once again great car, very nice interior with nice materials , and the outside is very attractive and even has LED light under the headlight and on tail lights . It presents itself as a much richer upscale car then the price tag , if you want a fast sports car but a mustang ."

"I just bought my 2013 sentra SV about a month ago. Its an incredible car. It's big. The amount of room you get in this car for 16000 dollars is amazing. It's not a fast car but i can pass people on the highway easily. I have gone 90 mph easily. The handling is great just like any other sentras and the gas mileage is great. This is the best car you can get for 16000 dollars in todays market from my opinion."

"Just picked up my new 2013 Sentra SL. Great looking car inside and out. It will be my first vehicle with a CVT.
The fit and finish are top notch. The materials used inside are soft where they should be and great looking layout, real comfortable seats as well.
Two things I don't like are the car lets in a lot of outside noise. both engine roar upon acceleration and outside wind noise. I'm coming from a Focus and will say the Focus was a much quieter rider compared to the Sentra. The Second dislike is the stereo. If you like music opt for the Bose sound package because you will be disappointed in the non-Bose stock stereo.
Other then that love the car! Great car for $19,000."

""purchased 2013 Sentra SL fully loaded. Its not like the old Sentras I've see in the past and it's almost as big as the Altima. Woodgrain interior was a shocker since it was a Sentra. I was considering buying a 2013 Honda Civic but when I saw this Sentra with more installed features than the Civic and a lot cheeper it was a no-brainer to choose. Navigation, Leather, Rearview Cam, Bose stereo, moonroof, rear disc brakes, and much more.""

"purchased 2013 Sentra SR after trade in My Altima 2008, obviously huge difference on ride compare to Altima due to the 1.8 engine but not bad at all for a small car and gas savings... a lot of extra features in SR compare to S and SV trim, such as custom alloy rims, rear spoiler, Fog light, extra body and bumpers, it's look pretty sharp and a sport style car especially in Red color the one I bought. so far who ever seen my car, appreciate this model and resemble it with new altima..the car is also very spacious from inside compare to previous versions and yeah a lot better looking than competitors...."
